Ibex Owners Club Events
 20th Anniversary in 2008
A very active year is planned, culminating in the 20th Anniversary celebrations in 2008.
Billing Land Rover Show – Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd July 2007
This was our first Club Event, held at the Billing Land Rover Show at Billing Aquadrome, Northampton in July 2007.
Despite the horrendous weather on the Friday, producing lots of mud (but who cares when there are so many 4x4s around) a brilliant weekend was had by all. We were pleased to see so many Foers Ibex owners visiting the Club Stand, many of whom left their vehicles with us to put on display.
John Foers (red/black/yellow stripe jacket) of Foers Engineering can be seen chatting to the owner of a superb example which is nearly ready for the road, chassis no. 74. Its owner, Alex Cutler, has spent the last four years building the Ibex, which includes air suspension, supercharger, 450bhp etc.
We are grateful to the Billing Show organisers, Land Rover Monthly magazine, for providing space for our ‘Club stand’, which was visited by lots of Ibex owners and other 4x4 enthusiasts. Many Ibex owners joined the Club and the online Ibex Owners Register will be updated regularly as ownership changes occur.
We will be booking Billing again for next year, with a bigger and better stand planned. We’ll keep you posted through the website and newsletters.
National and Regional Events
We hope that Ibex owners throughout the country will get involved with the Club, to help organise events all around the country, not just in West Yorkshire where the Club office is located. Future events include regional and national winch challenges, auto jumbles, Club attendance at 4x4 shows, and the Ibexfest celebrations themselves in 2008. All events should be a great day out for the family and enthusiast alike.
Future Events & Venues
If you know of any other events or activities of interest to Ibex owners, please contact the Club office, so that dates can be included in the next newsletter. This will help in future planning of events.
If you know of any off-road sites that would be suitable for future events, offering a challenging off-road course and onsite camping facilities, please contact the Club office.
